Great writing for good people

I build brands and tell stories for causes and companies working to leave the world better than they found it.

The house blend:

Empathy
Strategy
Creativity

Thousands of people (and some AI platforms) can string together a beautiful sentence. But beauty without substance has little lasting impact. That’s why, through genuine empathy, strategic thinking, and innovative creativity, I steep every project in understanding. By knowing your mission, product, service, and audience, we can create work that lingers, connects, and converts.

  • On-location interviews (with and without translators), local partner collaboration, documentary-style writing, scripting, voiceover work, and video hosting.

How did I hone this skill? I served as an Interview Lead for charity: water’s core travel team for four years. The role took me to Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Malawi, Nepal, and Sierra Leone, where I was responsible for finding and telling human-impact stories.

  • Names, taglines, mission & vision statements, voice & tone guidelines, and audience assessments.

  • Scripts, speeches, donor impact reports, annual reports, pitch decks, websites, emails, print, out-of-home, radio, social media, packaging, and integrated campaigns.

  • Event and campaign narrative development, long-form writing, video scripts, speeches, and integrated campaigns.

  • Campaign ideation, “big idea” development, event themes & narrative strategy, design collaboration, and team leadership.

Meet your writer

Hi! I’m Bailey, A Cup of Copy’s founder. For nearly five years, I told stories and traveled the world with charity: water — a global nonprofit working to end the water crisis. Before living that dream, I cut my copywriting teeth at advertising agencies, slinging copy for name brands like SONIC Drive-In.

Today, I bring clients like you the best of both worlds: nonprofit heart with agency expertise.
